Last year I made a little sewing card tutorial, but I decided to create a reprisal of it--mainly so you could access some downloadable instuctions, as well as the graphics. And of course, in the process of creating the new instructions document, I decided to modify some of the original instructions to make it a bit simpler. Then, I also changed up some of the graphics I had in the original set--now there a dozen animal images with dotted cutting lines, as well as punch hole indicators.And in case you are interested about some of the supplies I used in the photos above...here is what I used and where I purchased it:
- Red and white stripey cotton string from Carta Inc that I used for the sewing strings
- Card stock paper from Paper Source that I used for the sewing cards--I love their card stock because it has nice heft and there are so many vibrant colors to choose from.
- Black masking tape from Blick Art Materials that I used for the string ends

Dani--I cannot tell you how happy your comment made me. Really. I mean, the fact that you took this project and shared it with kids who have gone through what those kids have gone through--well, damn if it does not make me want to do a 1000 more tutorials and like all the time I spend doing this is SO worth it. Those kids you work with are near and dear to mey heart for a multitude of reasons that are too personal to state here in a 3 inch comment box, but maybe someday I will share...anyway, thanks for the comment.
