Also, I do have a bias in that I have come to belive that the best pancakes are made with buttermilk--there is no substitute (actually, there is--as you will see in the recipe below, but its still not as good as the real thing).
Here's our house recipe:· Add fresh blueberries, raspberries, peaches, nuts, or bananas (Beeper’s favorite). Enjoy with real maple syrup—and sausage, if you feel entitled to do so…(speaking of sausage, I also use Penzey's Tsardust Seasoning in some ground pork to make our breakfast sausage--and no, I am not on Penzey's bankroll, just a convert to the ease of opening a single bottle of seasoning and doing a little shake and knowing whatever you are making will now be extra delish). Oh--if you want a copy of my pancake recipe card above--right click on the image, select "save picture as" and save it to your computer--then you can paste it into a document later and print it out. No fuss or muss--just all the Chez Beeper Bebe pancake goodness.
And you can always call on the ubiquitous Mickey Mouse pancake. Untold amounts of mouse ears get eaten around here...

Hi,
My niece used to adore pancakes as a child, she's 22. Her mom had the recipe in her head too. As my niece got older, mom would make a batch of batter and store it in the fridge for her daughter to make them herself. Thanks for sharing!
Hugs,
Puglette
:o)
That's so cute--the pancake recipe--and also your dog! (or what I presume is your dog). Great idea to store batter in the fridge--my boy will probably have me doing that when he is in college or something...or, if all goes as planned, he will enjoy cooking as much as his mom and he'll carry on the tradition himself!
