Inspired by Kate's shadow puppet tutorial over at Minieco, I designed a dozen shadow puppets of my own to give to the kiddies along with some mini flashlights at our upcoming Halloween party. I essentially used Kate's tutorial to make these, except I painted my wooden dowels up in black stripes (using the same method I used to make my stripey pick-up sticks) because I love all things stripey, and made my shadow puppet designs just a little bigger with a few different designs. You can download my shadow puppet templates here, if you care to make some for yourself:
You can also find Kate's tutorial with her own downloadable templates here.

So cool, you are clearly going to have the coolest Halloween shindig ever. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness.
I loved the minieco shadows and now I love yours too! thanks for sharing!
Nice - thanks!
I made the one-eye monster for my 2-year-old to bring to his childcare centre. Thanks for the template!

That monster is one of my favorites. we actually got a chance to try them out over the weekend at our Halloween party and they all created fantastic shadows--but I did especially like the monster (and the devil...).
The cut outs are so intricate and unique! Will you use them to decorate your house as well?
What a fun idea!My kids are getting bigger and my 12 yr. old does NOT trick or treat anymore. (she would rather steal her sisters candy) This would be perfect for a fun, halloween party for her and her friends. Thanks so much for sharing!!!!f
Have a happy week!
